The Yellow Lumachella or Lumachella Gialla is a very porous limestone of Spanish origin. The name Lumachella is due to the presence of some fossils, which in common language were called “snails” (in Italian: lumache). Lumachella Gialla is a very soft stone, which due to its accentuated porosity cannot be resinated. Its use with rough, smooth or brushed finishes is therefore recommended. Yellow Lumachella is widely used in outdoor environments: it is an excellent material not only for the creation of floors or walls but also for furnishing accessories, such as vases, planters, fountains…
