Grigio Fossena

The Fossena Stone, also called Foussana, Farsena or Medea, is a limestone of North African origin, whose quarries are located in Tunisia. The blocks of Foussana Grey can be cut against the vein or along the vein depending on their height and other structural characteristics. When they are cut along the vein (cross-cut) the slabs produced may vary in color from one another and must be selected if color consistency is requested. Fossena Grey is a limestone of good availability, characterized by beautiful gray-brown color, with neutral tones that suit many environments. The presence of some white salts or dark spots are another feature of this material, always present. Fossena is considered by some a marble, however the polished finishing wears off relatively quickly. Therefore it is suggested to use it with honed, brushed or also sanded and bush-hammered finishing.
