The Statuarietto marble is an Italian stone coming from the Carrara area in Tuscany. The blocks come from the quarries located on Monte Bettogli where also the original Calacatta and Statuario are extracted. Statuarietto is a marble with a white or light gray background on which numerous branches of small veins stand out, with a light gray or dark gray color. Statuarietto marble belongs to the Statuario family, of which it is the second choice for the more marked veins and the grayer background. Statuarietto slabs have a very sugary consistency and they are usually processed with resins to beautify the surface, reducing porosity and enhancing the structural qualities. Ziche Marmi carries out this process at the highest quality levels at the modern factory in Brescia (Italy) where the Statuarietto marble is subjected to triple vacuum resining with epoxy resins.
