Bianco Asiago, Bianco Perlino

Bianco Perlino marble, also called Bianco di Asiago is a historic Italian marble, extracted in the mountains in the Province of Vicenza. It is a milky white marble with some gray-green veins with a flickering and irregular pattern. The height of the quarry-layers (bancate) is normally between 40 cm and 70 cm, and the slabs and floors are almost always cut along the vein, determining the name of Bianco Perlino marble cross cut. The individual slabs have absolutely uniform shades and veins throughout the surface however, slab by slab there may be a slight change in the intensity of the veins or the color. The blocks and slabs of Bianco Perlino are almost always of medium or small size, also because the quarry-layers have only rarely a thickness that exceeds 100 cm. Bianco Perlino marble can be used with various finishes for internal and external floors, thresholds, tiles, stairs, claddings, walls, .. It can be processed with almost any finish even if the most common are polished and brushed.
