Striato Olimpico

Striato Olimpo or Striato Olimpico is a historical marble of Hellenic origin, widely used since ancient times for floors and columns of numerous temples and palaces. This marble is characterized by elegant streaks, whose color varies from white to gray and black. The regularity of the veining of the Striato Olimpo is one of the parameters that influence its quality and price. Also known as Marmara white marble, comes from quarries that have good production. The blocks of Striato Olimpico are always cut against the vein. Thanks to the very crystalline structure of this marble, the slabs can usually avoid resin treatments. The best finish for the Marmara White Marble is undoubtedly the polished one, because it enhances the regular streaks and the color variations.
