Verdello Asiago is a historic Italian marble from the Vicenza plateau. This marble was widely used in the past for local construction, and still covers floors and stairs of churches and noble palaces in all Veneto Region. Verdello Asiago is characterized by a shaded green background color, crossed by numerous veins, which recall those of Bianco Perlino and Rosa Perlino extracted from the same plateau. Another characteristic of Verdello Asiago are some darker green spots that are distributed randomly on the surface of the slabs. The quarries produce blocks of modest height, which are therefore usually cut along the vein (cross-cut). Verdello Asiago is a marble with a compact structure and is suitable for indoor and outdoor use, however the surface of the slabs has often some porosities (magrosità) and therefore it is not suitable to be processed with polished finishing while it is perfect for o brushed and sandblasted finishings.
