Rosa Perlino

Rosa Perlino or Rosa Asiago marble is a historic Italian marble extracted from the Asiago Upland Plateau near the Alps in the North of Italy. This marble is characterized by a delicate pale pink background, crossed by numerous dark gray veins. The pink hue of the slabs varies from coral to pastel and is different according to the layers of origin. Almost all the natural layers in the quarries have a modest height, and the blocks produced, which are usually medium in size, are always sawn along the vein (cross-cut). Rosa Perlino marble is extracted in various quarries and is normally available in good quantities in the summer months, while in the winter months production stops due to the impossibility of working in the quarries covered by abundant snowfalls. Rosa Perlino marble is used for the production of slabs, floors, classics, stairs and cut-to-sizes mainly for indoor environments. For outdoor use, it is recommended to be used with not slippery finishes such as bush-hammered or sandblasted. Another very fashionable finish is the brushed or leather finish that has a very warm and rustic taste.
